Mission, Vision, and Values
Centre of Innovational Education "PRO.SVIT" is a civic organization that unites experts in the field of education to strengthen the capacity of educators and educational establishments to implement change and grow in a sustainable way for the good of developing human potential in the society.

"We believe that the educational reform alone is not enough. As changes from above are very fragile, and each school is unique, we work directly with schools and communities to enable them develop their educational strategies and build trust and attentiveness through the culture of partnership, team work, and communication both in the school – with teachers, parents, and students, and with the outside world – with local communities. We work to improve the educational experience of children every day. It is a long but fundamental path that should lay the cornerstone of sustainable development," – says Liliya Borovets, "PRO.SVIT" cofounder.

Currently, "PRO.SVIT" works on researching and implementing school curriculums, supports a network of change agents through GoFundEd crowdfunding platform, and provides consultations for schools based on detecting their needs.

Why are we doing this?
We strive to transform Ukrainian schools into open organizations that are ready to change, search for new solutions, constantly learn, and cooperate for strengthening changes in their local communities, regions, and the whole country.
Schools are not information sources anymore as information can be easily accessed from public sources. Instead, schools provide an environment for studying, making attempts and mistakes, reflecting, and personal growth. Student oriented approach is an essential precondition for a school to implement its mission, but it is not sufficient.

Connection to the broader environment is crucial: schools become interaction centers for parents, schoolchildren, teachers, business or civic sector, and other community representatives (schools become community centers).

This enables partnership relationships with all stakeholders of the process and creates practical and lively environment at schools and beyond – for schoolchildren, teachers, headmasters, parents, and other participants. To achieve this, schools must form a vision, their development direction, and involve all interested parties in the transformation process.
How do we understand change?
When the headmaster and teachers together analyze their work experience, practice positive and negative feedback every day, and see mistakes as opportunities for further development. That is change.

Change includes the following elements:
  1. Prioritizing learning for all members (teachers constantly broaden their knowledge – both individually and collectively);
  2. Fostering inquiry (detecting, discussing, and overcoming failures);
  3. Facilitating sharing of the knowledge (constant exchange of knowledge and experience, discussions);
  4. Practicing democratic principles (everyone has the right to speak, express his/her opinions, and suggest ideas);
  5. Attending to human relations (building staff relationships, strengthening trust to each other, and feedback);
  6. Providing for members self-fulfillment (personal and professional goals of each teacher, reinforcing the willingness to grow) (Collincon & Cook, "Organisationa learning, 2007)
This is about educators who constantly work together, analyzing situations and practices and looking for better solutions to achieve better results in their work with children. student is at the center of the process (based on DuFour approach "Revisiting Professional Learning Communities at Work", 2008).
Basic assumptions about what the world around is or should be, which are shared by a group of people and which determine their opinions, approaches, feelings, actions, and behavior. (Schein, 1996).
Our Values
We are not waiting for ready-to-use top down instructions, we rather take responsibility for what is happening around and suggest solutions.
We apply an integrated approach to problems, view them more broadly, and search for linkages in the environment.
We openly speak about our activities and report on the results to our clients, partners, and benefactors.
We constantly learn, exchange experience, and create an environment for growth for each member of the team.
We trust each other and appreciate everyone's right for choice and freedom; freedom means responsibility for us.
