Senior Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Doctor of Philosophy (International Academy of Philosophy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, 2003. Thesis: “Happiness of the Human Person. A Phenomenological Study of the Disclosure of the Human Person in Happiness”).
Taras has taught philosophy at the Ukrainian Catholic University since 1998, simultaneously working in administrative positions. He has participated in various internships in the United States (Nanovic Institute for European Studies, University of Notre Dame in Indiana, Catholic University of America in Washington, DC) and Poland (the Centre for Studies on the Classical Tradition in Poland and East-Central Europe OBTA, Warsaw University).
Taras is a member of the Consortium of the Ukrainian Universities’ working group for the project entitled “University autonomy as an integral part of civil society” 2005-2009; a member of the Program Board of the Education Program of the International Renaissance Foundation (2011-2013); a member of the Accreditation Committee of Ukraine (2014- present); a member of the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts in Ukraine (2009 - 2010, 2015- present).
